The author is wrong - the PalmPilot Professional isn't as expensive as $500+ - it is only $360 or less! : )
Also, the PalmPilot Professional does have a modem and can send e-mail from anywhere (with a phone line) or from anywhere with the new wireless modem that recently came out. The PP is smaller than the other device (SE or something?) so IT is the smallest e-mail capable computer.
